Default Digital design w 6.5 question

Hey guys it's been awhile since I've been on here. I've been looking into upgrading my midbass because my current 6x9's aren't filling in enough from where my sub leaves off (sundown x 12 @29hz).. I was looking into the digital design w 6.5, but I don't know anybody that had used them. If anybody could give me some beneficial input it would be great. Thanks

Anybody? I also plan on completely sealing my rear deck from my trunk.

I never owned any but got to hear a few builds. Very impressive little guys but they're not cheap. What did you want to know?

I have used the DDs and thought they kicked butt. May I ask if you own a dodge? Or are these rear deck mounted? The reason for asking is if they'er deck mount it will throw off your staging. I installed these tang bands Tang Band W69-1042J 6"x9" Subwoofer 264-837 in the wifes corolla as subs in it's rear deck and very happy with they'er output. They would make a very nice midbass IMO Definitly one of the better deals Iv'e got in a while

I have a 2007 pontiac g6. They will be rear deck mounted. I'm hoping to completely deal them from the trunk. I'm buying a new headunit too, because I want to run an active front stage. And how would they throw off the staging?

Sub bass is unidirectional and midbass is 50/50. So it will sound like some freq's are coming from the rear instead of your sound stage. Meaning your system should sound like a well set up home system would in stereo not surround sound while listening in a chair or couch sitting in between the speakers and back from the speakers at equal distances. You want your system to sound like your at a live concert. Meaning all sound comes towards you not from in back of you. Unless you saw Pink Floyd's "Animals" tour. In the 70's synthesized quad was the thing! It mimicked a quad home system. It was bogus! That's why there's neither anymore

IMO it would be better to run mids back there instead of midbasses. Many mids in 6x9 will get down to the 60hz range no sweat

Thanks for the explanation haha. It's just their description of it on their sure is weird. They say it's a midbass/midrange, and then give reasons why it should excel in both.. As you can see, I'm clearly not going to school to be a sound engineer lmfao

Now if you wanted to run those in the front doors along with a nice 4" coax or component set, I would say go for it! IMO that's the only way to fly if you got the space
