i currently have a VFL120.1 and a VFL hybrid 150.4... had a VFL150.1... all awesome amps!!! i love 'em never even get warm and give out the power, if you want to see clamps number see clamp numbers sticky in general discussion... about to buy a vfl 1880 hybrid also... great amps... VFL amps (not the hybrid) are built to last, do last, will run .5Ω without a sweat and all do rated and more than rated...

I've never heard anything bad about them from people I know that know how to run equipment.

VFL 400.1 - 18 months straight in a daily at 0.5 ohm running down to 9V without any issues (not recommended)
VFL 1000.1 - 9 months straight daily at 0.7 ohm (0.35 to each 500.1 inside) with no issues
VFL 500.1 - 4 years off and on in a daily at 0.25 ohm with occasional overheats from FL temps
VFL 100.1 - 3 months daily at 0.33 ohm with no issues
VFL 750.1 - 2 years in a burp car at 0.1 ohm with no issues

That's all people I personally know or myself (I own 2 AB 1000.1).

I ran a vfl 4480.1d at 0.5ohm for about 4 months. I play full tilt a lot and that amp only ever got warm never hot. imo it's an awesome amp that puts out clean power.

Same board in the 120.1 as the dd m2. Some different components, I'm sure, but they're good amps on a good board, and unless you're competing or doing stupid stuff with your equipment, you aren't really going to see much if any of a difference.

If I recall correctly, it's also really close to the same board layout as the crescendo BC series and the AQ amps with some small differences.

Basically, if you're running a daily system, I'd say get whichever is cheapest and/or has the best warranty. You can't go wrong with any of those.

I have an American Bass vfl 150.1 Gold (03 model) on 4 sa-10s wired nominally to .5 ohm and even with crappy stock voltage drop to 12.5 volts, i'm still clamping almost 1700rms. These amps are beasts and would recommend old or new style.

I myself had 2 100.1s strapped into 1ohm ( so .5 ) and I played the hell out of em and they only overheated in my hatch on really hot days. I had a 150.1 That also got used quite well and it handled anything i could throw at it.
