Default When to upgrade electrical system?

Hey all,
Pretty new to car audio, so I've got a question. As of now I'm running a Tru s45 in 3 channel with an SSLD6 to a pair of rainbow vanadium 230's and a boston g310-44 sub. I just don't have enough bass, and I'm looking to add another amp to power my sub. I'm a tru fan, and have been on the hunt for a hammer h-1. I've been looking at a lot of bigger amps, and they all require extra batts and power. I don't really want or need to get into that much of a system. My question is, when do I need to add another battery or upgrade my alternator? Will I need to if I can get a Hammer and run it at 2 ohms to my sub? Thanks for the help.

Big 3 upgrade to start, and a quality AGM battery under the hood and see how your voltage holds up.you may not need to upgrade your alt yet. the H-1 is a pretty efficient amp what is the stock alt amps?

Stock alts aren't made to support much. I ran 800 watts on a stock electrical and had a lot of light dimming. Now I'm doing over 6k on stock alt but with an odyssey under the good and 4 odyssey group 31's in the back. I drop to about 12v full tilt but no dimming. Depending on your vehicle I don't see why a better alt can't be had for $300 or so. That would give you probably an extra 100-150 amps and that would allow for 12-1500 watts while never exceeding your alt amperage.

When you replace your radio, think about your electrical. It's all down hill from there, you'll always want more

Stock electrical depends soley on the car, but I don't recommend anything more than 1k
