I made my own calculator in excel to calculate the number of kerf-cuts and spacing, for whatever radius you want. Just don't know how to share it. The formula is out there if you google it though.

Birch makes good kerfs. And post up that spreadsheet. I usually just use the 11 cuts method. But bigger ports look kinda skanky.

If you are using 3/4" wood its 11~12 cuts evenly spaced for a 90 degree bend.
You just have to play around with the depth on some scrap wood until it feels like it will bend easily. To deep and the wood can tear under its own weight, but to shallow and when you try to bend it, it will crack.

Tbh, try on a couple scrap pieces. I use a table saw, raise the blade up almost to the edge of the wood and cut about every 1/8". I actually just eye ball it tbh, make a couple cuts, bend it, and make a couple more till you get it where you want it

This was my first one

That's the only problem with birch. If you use the normal stuff with voids it can get a little janky. You could fill it with resin and would be pretty solid though. It wouldn't be a huge deal if you were using internal like above but external it can make it a little fragile.
