I have crescendo pwx 6.5 in the rear. I heard 2 6.5 pvr yesterday and they sounded better then my pwx, but i stuck between selenium and pvr.

How about giving us a budget to stay within? You've already heard crescendo for the budget conscious, up to hybrid that CAN run up to almost $1k per speaker. For around $300 a set you can get Hertz 165xl's or Focal 165's. Rainbow is in that range. Best $200 mids? Maybe look into DD Germans used, or maybe Alpine type X. Title of thread is useles IMO. Since hybrid is too fancy for you, maybe it should've been best low cost mids.

Hybrid will probably give the most accurate reproduction and will be perfect for SQ comps but I find them very plain and boring for everyday listening.

If you have a local focal dealer with reasonable prices, give these a listen...
