Default Hooked my amp up backwards, Fixable? (Pictures)

So this is my second install and i was hurrying, no real excuses just wasn't paying attention....

It popped my main power wire 200amp fuse. Both the 70Amp fuses on the DSC1500 are fine.

Is it really as simple as replacing this diode and plugging it back in correctly?

Exterior case of Diode reads: 1N5408 under that number is: BL

If the diode is open it should be fine. Those diodes are there to protect this issue.

I was always wandering what would happen if you hooked it up backwards. Now I know.

Well i bent the diode connections so they where completely separated it did change the power/ground continuity dramatically.

I was at .8ohm before now its reading .920 mega ohms. I have no idea what it should be at...

I did hook this amp up and it worked fine. The power and ground are now open.

It seems to be working fine other than its not moving the subs as much as i thought. Gain set to 50% on a 30hz test tone pioneer deck with 4v pre outs at volume 45 wasnt moving the sub free air as much as i thought it should. I dont want to deal with repairing or trouble shooting so im selling it for almost half of what i just bought it for.
