Default Bass heavy coaxials replace stock door speakers

Hey so a friend at my school has a Durango and has blown three of her speakers. She asked me if I could help her out but she has limited budget so I was looking to hopefully just find some cheap bassheavy coaxials to put in the doors. They will be off of stock head unit power so I figured that bottoming out won't be a problem. Does anybody have any ideas, I was looking at the soundqubed coaxials since they have response down to 40hz and as SQ known for being a good for the budget brand. Any opinions are welcome.

almost any speakers would be an upgrade from stock in most situations. the SQ coaxials would work well.

Do you think the bass would be there? I'm just worried that the aftermarket coaxials are meant to be highpassed and won't have good bass. And am I correct in saying they won't need to be highpassed since they will be on such low power?

there low power speakers, there for low power (stock headunit) can still push too much low freq to the speakers. bu, if you put them in and tune them so the bass isn't maxed out or overwhelming the speakers, they'll be fine. just keep in mind, there speakers and not subs. youll be able to get some bass from them but nothing like an actual sub (stock head unit)

ive done a few pairs of JBL gto series speakers on stock headunits....they actually dig pretty well for stock deck power. But like Jeff said, you cant have the head units bass maxed out or its going to sound like ass no matter how good the speakers are. But i will say that JBL has some low end response and very capable of vibrating the doors. I think they can be had for around 60$ a set on ebay. Just shop around. Im sure the AQ's will work as well.....but ill bet the JBL's will sound better.

Do you think they would be a good upgrade in the situation I'm in. The price is definitely attractive.

Id say so, ive ran the powerbass co-ax 2xl and 3xl and they were great speakers. For that price you can go wrong.
