Default Just bought an Eclipse 8812 D4 off forum member.

Pretty cheap too. I think it was a $400 sub at one time I don't think he had an idea what he had lol. So I got it for $100+30 ship.... I am super pumped. I didn't wanna spend a lot and I wanted something smaller and lighter for my new car, and I think this is a perfect sub that says it can handle 500w and I am so okay with that. I am not saying I am done with the 2k+ watt subs but they are too heavy and require too much space so I am taking a break from it.. lol

Also, I am find with it at D4 cause I am putting a Sundown v1 1500D on it and wiring it to 2ohm. So that is 800watts and I won't have a chance to blow it hah. I am hearing on other forums people got these up to 1000rms with no issues but like I said. Not worried. 800 shall be fine...

now brings me to my question...what box should I get build for it? What tuning for metal mostly and some EDM? occasional rap?

Keep in mind I need it small, prob not over 2 cubes.

Is that the one that's a eclipse badged TC9? If so I have a pair running off a t1000-bdcp and they sound pretty decent. I would prolly tune around 33-35 personally. I've got mine at 37 and they sound pretty good, just wish they hit the low notes a bit better, but that's migh sort of highish tuning as I made the box a bit big to fit in trunk ftmfl and had to cut down on volume to make it fit.

What other versions did they have? Thought all of them had a TC9 motor?
