I have used the DEH- 80 PRS and I loved it. The only reason I got rid of it was because I like the look of the DEH 880prs I have.

Alpine 149BT is really nice if you want a great sounding radio and has a pause button on it unlike the 80prs. The 80prs is much faster scrolling through menus.
If you planning on running the 4 channel active than the head unit honestly does not matter as much. Both have on board time alignment using the supplied microphone.
The x9600 looks like the 9400bh (which I own) but with the addition of mixtrax. The radio has 2 USB outputs on the back and they charge my LG smartphone (great for using GPS).
IMO: I would get the alpine if I had the choice again.
Agreed 110% I have the 149bt in my work truck. It's a great sounding deck. Even running the internal amp it's perfect on the 3's and tweets on the dash on the front channels crossed at 200 and the 6.5's in the doors on the rear channels high passed at 63. Great eq and ta. Ipod or usb control, no android except through Bluetooth. Only drawback is its only 2way xovers.
I do not like alpine personal preference. i will be building a decent sounding daily driver with an 18 to be different... will be running passive with stocks in the rear for fill, band passed and wired in series. i want something that is good quality.
