Default New subs, opinions please

So I sold my 2 Sundown X12's with the intention of replacing them with a pair of IA death row or maybe death penalty 12's. Now I'm thinking I might want to change it up completely and go with one beefy 18. I'm considering an IA judge or possibly even a warden. Also considering an SSA evil, Fi team, or DC level 6. Which of these subs is most likely to stay together running on a BC5500D. It will never see a meter so all out spl is less important than it sounding good.

A pair of Death Penalties on that power is gnarly. A local had a pair of the 21's in a Tahoe on a CT7K, and it sounded awesome, even though the subs were in a little bit undersized enclosure.

The the DC Level 6 is the only DC sub I've been impressed with. Clint's (smigletat on here) Cavi is still one of the loudest trunks I've ever heard, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's one of the loudest trunks in the US. It's brutal.

they have an 18" XC on their site but at $1229. plus shipping, taxes and duty, it puts it a little beyond what I want to spend

I liked the X's for what they were meant for, low lows. But I listen to more than just decaf so I want a sub that plays a broader range.

What makes you suggest the Evil over the others I listed??

I've had quite a few brands and the dc subs and sundowns have been my favorites by far followed by dd.

I've ran a few of the IA subs death row and death penalty and loved them. Very broad range subs, I'd love to see someone try the IA judge the thing is a beast! I also have ran a single 18" dd 9518 and it was very musical even being tuned at 28hz. Killed 32hz and up but still dug to 26hz. Otherwise I'd Prolly try the lvl6, seen those things do some serious work.
