You would be fine with a single run of both pos and neg 1/0. Overkill would be 2 runs of each.

All you need to do is get your alternator charging the rear bank. Do a single run of 2/0 welding or something like that. I do a single run of 4/0 front to rear, and I only have a 320amp alt so I don't really need it. Your multiple runs go from your battery bank into your amps. If your battery bank is rear, do as many runs as you desire from rear bank to amps

id say at least 2 runs with 7k of power isn't 1/0 only good for like 300-350 amps

Depending on your alternator and sustained current draw from the amp, it's possible that you could draw several hundred amps from the front battery. If all of your batteries were in the back you're limited by the current output of the alternator so you don't nave to worry about exceeding that number.

You'll probably be fine with a single run, but make sure voltage stays above the resting voltage of the batteries and fuse the wire appropriately. If you happen to have enough wire to do an extra run or it's not that big of a deal to do so, add another run. You won't need more than two though.

Heh, overkill.

Rather be safe than sorry. Do it right the 1st time.

Nothing will happen with extra runs, just more cost, too few runs can do all kinds of damage though...

More the better because you always upgrade eventually so spend the money now so you can spend more later on other stuff

To add on, can I do 2 runs of POS and no runs of Neg front to back and then just ground to the frame/metal from the back?
