He's getting messed with because he ragged on my for having some work done by a shop that really hooked me up on pricing. Than a week later he is getting his work done by a shop.

Sometimes I just want to drive my shit into a shop and hand them a fistful of money and be like... "Here. Do this shit."

I have zero problems with people having a shop or other enthusiast do their build. But it's a little disrespectful they take credit for it and/or don't correct people when they assume the owner did the work. Happens all the time.

I wish i had money to give to professionals lol but i dont so i have to settle on my ass and do my own stuff, hell i have a hard enough time spending 100-120$ on wood and building supplies for my box let alone hundreds more for other guys to do it. Id love to have a nice fit and finish job done in my car....but no money and no time for that, kids and wifey come first :-)

Taking credit for something you didn't do is plain wrong.
Back in the late 90's i watched an installer from another shop, at a show, run through an install with a potential customer. I stood there and listened to him tell them all about the time and techniques he put into it. Problem is....... it was a car I did!!! I was sure to shame him as loudly, and in front of as many people as I could.

Shouldn't have said that with all these guys here. I predict that someone will be overworked, and pretty drunk soon

I think that's how it went down. I'm getting short term memory loss in my old age

Def. Sig worthy.

How often you see this guy say sorry after we put up with crap from him?!

Missed the party earlier. Guess it I wasn't so busy building my new box, I would've joined in.

Until someone accidentally plugs the + and - power wires into your amp in reverse, or they ground out a positive wire...
