Default 80prs or?? Need a h/u

3.5mm is going out on my stock deck.

Also I listened to a CD the other day and its wayyy louder. I plan to just load a few flash drives with various music - USB is also a good source, right?

Pros and cons of the 80prs? Better cheaper option?

Also, is there a device that has more control over bass, such as the lpf so I don't hear voices in my sub, or a better sub sonic filter?

I know your all about cheap. Lol I run a kenwood x891... 5v pre outs and usb. I bought one for $90 bucks and then I bought a back up for like $130 just in case one breaks lol. I'm all about cheap too. It works great

Also u shouldn't be hearing voice in your woofer

I'm more about good deals haha. And when I was not working, I try to stretch out my money as much as possible. Im willing to drop $200 on a 80prs due to its features.

I want a good unit. And I know the 80prs is good. That volt meter and active crossovers though...

I kinda want to ditch my line drivers/loc's too.

I am on my 2nd 80PRS that has noise and pops with brake pedal and turn signals.
I hooked everything up properly and no hot swaps.
I am just gonna deal with it I guess till I can afford a real radio.

My problem may not be typical, but just sharing my experience.

Keep the head unit get a DSP

Soundstream Harmony 8 Channel 31 Band Equalizer Car Digital Sound Processor DSP | eBay

31 bands of EQ vs pioneer's 16, Plus it can be set For each individual channel. Full blown 4 way active bandpass capable crossovers (anywhere from 20-20khz) for a 3 way front + subwoofer. Along with very big db slope options. Along Time alignment.

Overall tune ability is better than an 80 prs. Comming from a guy that owns an 80 prs...

To be honest the volt meter sucks on the 80prs. It's anywhere from .4 to .6 off for me. Otherwise I have not had any issues with it and enjoy the unit overall. Would probably go Alpine in the future.

I have a Clarion CZ702 I'm going to part with once my 80PRS comes in the mail this week. The clarion is 2/3 way active with 5 volt pre outs can give you a good deal.

I have 3 volt meters with one of them being on the 80PRS, and the 80PRS one reads lower by .3 than the other ones.
