Default What Ohm Load Would You Run

Amp is a Zapco Reference 1100.1. 3 CDT 12" QES-1220 dual 2 ohm sealed box. Would you run 1.34 or 3 ohms? Be nice if an amp repair guy would chime in.

If the amp is 1ohm stable, I would run the 1.3ohm load.

A quick google search says it's not

Open Box, Like New - Zapco Reference 1100.1 Monoblock Car Amplifier/Amp (ZAP-1100.1)

The amp does 825 @ 4 and 1100 @ 2 so you'll be in the middle of that at a 3 ohm load, which is about 950 maybe, going into 1500w rms so it should be pretty good if the subs are not crazy under rated.

TLDR the amp does not list 1 ohm stability so run it at 3 ohms.

If it's not enough power then get a [email protected] 1 ohm amp (to accommodate for the extra .3)

3 ohms is your only option since the amp is not 1 ohm stable.

I know the amp is 2 ohm stable but seems to be pretty common to run these below 2 ohm on good electrical. I did upgrade the cooling fan and have strong electrical running to it. I think I am gonna run the 1.34 and let you all know what happens with the Zapco. if it survives i'll let yall know so you can try it on your non zapco, JK

Honestly dude, is it worth the risk? Run at 3 ohm and see how it does. It's likely that it will be good enough for you.

Well, it was to alotof others. Hers another thing. Its been playing for over n hour on an old $59 CD player, Zapco stouter than that pos? I will report back hopefully in 2 weeks when install is complete. On a side note I never ran (except for box rise) my RF Punchs at 2 ohms, always at 1
