Default 9 10s, 6 12s, or 4 15s?

What would you do? Which woofers? Power is 5k. Airspace is about 12 feet net (using 1.25 as woofer displacement) 220 inches of port tuned to 34hz. Haven't built it yet though, just giving an idea of the space I'm working with. Baffle is 30h x 38.5w

9 10s at .89
6 12s at .66
4 15s at 1

Kind of Leaning towards 6 12s. Budget for woofers is 1k, maybe a tad more. Fu750s? Sa? (Would have to buy used, which is okay)

Any and all input is appreciated.

4 x 15's for 5kw. With 6 12's you would have less than 1000 to each. Not my thing.

I agree with ya. Original plan was 4x sa 15s. But I think I'll have a 7 or 8k amp before next summer which is why I was entertaining a large number of low end subs. The hdc3 sale is tempting (257 each for 15s) but I just don't have enough airspace for those. I really like my ethos but can't afford to buy 4x of them at once, and I don't want to risk not being able to get 2 more to match if I buy a couple now.

There are some 3 inch coil nvx woofers that look nice on paper but no idea how they actually perform.

12cf for 6 12's should be decent for just about any sub
The common chamber will help a bit
You could also shrink port area slightly to gain some cf

But, I <3 port...

For real though, I could keep my port area, and get my volume up another 1 to 1.5 ft if I wanted. Just complicates the build. Wondering if I could get 6x hds300 12s to work in that amount of space. 6 3" coils would give me some incentive to upgrade my powah

I personally would buy 2 good 4in coil 18's . Hdc4 is great for the price. Would take the 5k no problem and love the 8k later. Maybe try some trident 18's.

I've had zv4 18s walled on 5k. Right now I have Ethos 18s not walled. I really want to run more cone area than 2 18s. I'm going back to c pillar wall because, even with the ethos (which like small boxes), it's a very tight fit for a box behind my back seats.
