Default ALtenator question

I picked up an elite 370 from my cousin never used. It was made for a 2009 tahoe which has a 2 pin harness. I have a 98 suburban with a 4 pin oval harness . I heard there different regulators . and they excite differently is there anyway to wire this in and tricks or hacks to make it work for my truck? or do i need to send it to mechman and have them change the regulator?

Call up singer. I'm sure he can make u an adaptor plug or something

Edit: lol I watch that video u posted and said can't make an adaptor so idk maybe u can't get a adaptor plug but it seems easy enough to put a new 4 pin on there

You got a pick of the a$$ end? Ill let you know what reg you need. The 2 pin is a pain to mess with. Best to switch out reg to 4 pin oval. As I send send ass pic and ill link you to right reg. Or you could just get a pig tail for the 2 pin plug it in on the L lead however will only charge at 13.8

I have zero problems with people having a shop or other enthusiast do their build. But it's a little disrespectful they take credit for it and/or don't correct people when they assume the owner did the work. Happens all the time.

99% sure this is the reg you need. Only way to know for sure is to pop the rear cover off. And send a pic of that
