Default Caps or lithium

I'm currently running two crescendo 5500s on two hdc4's. I have 8 batteries and a DC 270 and all SHOK wire. I compete in meca and I'm allowed only 240a of fusing and im blowing fuses before I can go full tilt. I put up a 155.7 but I'm dropping to 11.6v so my question is should I ran 3-4 banks of caps or a lithium battery? I've heard mixed things and im unsure on what to buy so I can actually get louder.

I think you need reserve instead of burst capacity. lithium

Caps over lithium all day. Audio is not a constant demand. Even if you burp, caps can hold on long enough to get the job done. I don't understand all this hype on lithium. If you play with the car off then yes lithium is the way to go over agm.

I've heard caps were the way to go but do you think 4 banks will be enough for the power I have? Im running each amp at .5

Does meca only allow 1alt? If anything get a alt that's 100a bigger then u got or two alts.

I'm allowed 2 alts and 12v system but will alts react quick enough? I roll into my burp. I drive a eagle talon so another alternator would be a pain to add.

I've used both caps and lithium. both are awesome without a doubt, if you are only burping than caps are going to be the way to go. Without a solid alternator and some idle output you can only hold so long before you do need to charged the caps. but the burp output is proven greater over batteries. me personally I'm running caps in my daily on stock alt on a M3b and before caps i could never go full tilt without protecting. Now with 2 banks i can go full tilt and it will still play, but the voltage drops fast still because the caps have no charge. so maybe 4-10 sec constant bass note full tilt. but previous to the caps i ran a buddies juicebox lithium for a show for fun and i had 2 M3b's strapped at 1 ohm (.5 each amp) and could demo for minutes full tilt chilling at 12.6-12.1, honestly didst see below 12v, and still with stock alt @1500rpm. So if you need long term reserve with less weight or terminals, then lithium is the way to go. Now if you can use both together, thats a recipe for disaster, best of both worlds.

I've never, not one time, seen a gain from 45's. People think of ports as a wind tunnel. They don't work that way. They resonate. They don't produce wind. If it was a wind tunnel, 45's would be more than justified. But it isn't.

Caps and caps only. You will only see a gain if you take the batteries out of the mix for burps.

I reckon you need at least (6) banks.
