Default BEST choice for daily 3" or 4" coil

Im looking to do a daily pounder just to cruise around pissing people off, Im working with 17 cu ft total inside. i am thinking 3x 18s but my quetion is to either get 3 DD9518 with the 3" coils or 3 DD9918 with the 4" coils?? on the 3 9518 im thinking 1 DD M5 amp, and if i go with the 9918 i think i might need 2 M5 amps? i want it to play low 24-30hz with no stinky coils, any help guys thanks

I think either set of woofers would handle that power fine. Just set gains CLEAN

so the 4" coils would be louder than 3" coils for daily pounding? more efficient?

I recently went from a 3" coil to a 4. It is louder according to the ear meter. But I'm not sure it was worth the money in my application. I went from sc 3512's to sc 9912's on 2 m3a's strapped at 1 ohm. Now when running the 3512's I was giving them just about all they could take. With the 9912's they just get a good tickle with my amps. Lol! I'm sure things would change if I put some real power to them. But in the end nothing makes up for cone area. I think next time I will go with more subs rather than subs that can take insane power. Just my 2 cents. I'm confident you will be pleased with either of those options. Good luck!
