Default Bass and a Firearm?

Tried searching but didn't see any threads for this.

Who's got a high 50s vehicle that daily carries a concealed weapon? Probably going to get my ccp soon and I'm a little concerned.

Actually can someone do an experiment with a handgun with a few rounds in the mag and put it inside a port wars box? Or even a loud sealed box. Or has anyone tried this?

Are you scared the bullets will explode from the vibrations?

What you should be worried about is having a handgun with the mag loaded and one in the chamber ready to be shot.

It WILL set your gun off.

Just drive with the mag outside the actual gun.

Mythbusters busted that theory.

JP carries and demos all the time I believe ....but the mythbusters did 55's with loaded sks rifles with featherlite triggers..... 50's and below I think you will be OK....but upper 50's I would at least take the round out of the chamber....

I can't seem to find the episode on youtube, but I remember it. They got a vehicle sponsored my MTX and jammed out with loaded assault rifles, handguns, etc. and nothing happened.

it wont fire. Down here in good 'ole Texas you dont need no stinking permit to carry a loaded gun in you vehicle. Now that i think about it i dont think you should anywhere. Its protected under the kindom clause since your vehicle is part of your domain, like a house, so legally you can carry a loaded weapon within it at all times as protection. Just like why you can refuse entry to a police officer who asks to come into your house without a warrant, you can do the same with your vehicle.

As long as your gun has a proper safety, there is no reason it should ever fire from bass vibrations. Ive seen this discussed many times. As for people who have done real world testing in loud vehicles (louder than me), i know JP always carries and handgun on him, i saw him at Turkey drag and he had a pitstol on him walking around, and demo'd full tilt with it on him. Thats 10x18s so that was enough to know it isnt going to happen.

I've never, not one time, seen a gain from 45's. People think of ports as a wind tunnel. They don't work that way. They resonate. They don't produce wind. If it was a wind tunnel, 45's would be more than justified. But it isn't.

In NY you cannot carry or have any sort of pistol in your vehicle or home without a permit. I have been in several loud vehicles with my handguns loaded and chambered with zero problems.
