Default 2 12" RPL or 1 15" CPM x2 15"??

As the title asks, will my Single eD SPV.3 AKA Crystal Mobile Sounds CMP x2 15" be a better daily choice, or My Pair of SoundSplinter RLP 12"s
I know there is a slight cone area advantage to the pair of 12s, but there is xmax advantage the eD/Crystal, as well as more coil area I believe.

The 15" is D2, and the SS are D4, so final load will be the same, or close.
I am running on Autotek MM4000.1D
RMS @4 Ohms is 2500+, since this amp makes it rated power @2 ohms bridged Mono.

I will eventually put both my 15s in there, but right now I dont have space or the electrical to handle my amp at 2 ohms.
I just want sure the lil more cone area would justify making a new box.

Mine are oem as well.
They have oxidized cones, and kinda loose spiders now though.

I was thinking bass might not be as tight for rock music?
What size enclosure and port area do you think I need?

Do you have the D4 or D2?
Seems specs are a lil different.
I had tried one in 2.75 box I had my 3 hp in and it was a lil sloppy sounding and peaky aroun tuning.
I can get away with a smaller box for the pair than I have on the single 15 then...nice
