Default HCCA 5000.1d

Guys,
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thinking about purchasing this amp to run two HCCA 12.4's and was wondering whether this seems legit? Here are the power ratings (pulled from the website):

RMS WATTS @ 4 OHM at 12.6V 2,120
RMS WATTS @ 2 OHM at 12.6V 3,600
RMS WATTS @ 1 OHM at 12.6V 5,480
TOTAL POWER WATTS 11,000

Anyone with any real world experience with this amp on here? Results? Thanks.

I ran one for couple weeks while my m4b was being fixed. Never clamped it but it was .5db louder than my m4b (which does 5k). The HCCA amp runs really, really hot though.

Thanks for your response. What kind of electrical are you using? That's a big concern for me as well.

Well I was wired to 2 ohm. I did a 150.0 on the windshield with the hcca 5k and 2 ethos 18s. Electrical consisted on factory alt, mechman 320 alt, and 1 105ah battery under hood. 2 runs ofc straight into the amp

Keep in mind DDfusion has no first hand experience with this amp and takes every opportunity to shit on anything not DD.

Probably just upset that I gave a fair direct comparison of a 900 dollar amp to a 1400 dollar DD amp and the DD amp wasn't as loud.

I didn't say it was bad.. Judging by its price and the name on it, I take your gain to user error. Orion has NEVER been cheap even when Directed owned them.

I'm not shitting on anything, just making a very valid point. If it upsets you go get on your moms tit

Hey man i have much respect for the HCCA line but if your electrical isnt up to standards for that amp it will automatically go into a low wattage output mode and it will be very noticeble with the bass. A few years ago i was running 2 HCCA12.2s on 2 HCCA D5000.1, 2 runs of 1/0awg 2 Kinetik 2400s and 1 Kinetic 1800, 300a alt, my voltage dropped to about 12.8v at the lowest and both amps would give out the lower wattage output everytime the voltage went below 13v. It was frustrating because the subs wanted the power everytime! I personally would not recommend that amp unless your electrical is very very solid. Most amps run good on the voltage i had without any problems. While i was upgrading to my current system i had the chance to put my DC 10k on the 12.2s and i gained a whole new respect for the subs and the HCCA line. I never did clamp the amps so not sure what the output was. I was hitting [email protected] on dash sealed. Box was subs up port back tuned to 30hz in a 99escalade.

This sounds like a typical DD huggers response...."I take your gain to user error" lol dont be upset that something in this world performed better than the almighty DD equipment. But when doing a direct swap out of one thing to another and you yield better results....in this case maybe its better will i sound like a hugger of Sundown if i said i lost db when going from my saz3500v2 to my DD m4? Same sub, same box, same electrical, same damn sub

Don't get ticked at me for posting this.
Think about it. When has the HCCA amp not been the most expensive big amps?
Now they got bought out by Pryamid and all of a sudden the ratings are pretty unrealistic and the prices are less then the cheapest Koreans.

Does that not scream BS to you?
