Default Actual requirements to run a 3k substage

I currently have an stock electrical system. I want to be able to run a 2.5-3k system. I figure building for the higher end will save me headaches in the future. The vehicle is Base 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier. I know I have room for (3) Group 31 batteries where the spare tire used to sit. Any and all help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I have a 275 amp alt and 4 red tops. I only charge at around 13.4-13.5. At my amp I normally measure 13.4. At full tilt I drop to around 12.2 at 2 ohm. At .8 ohm I would drop low 11s. If I had some good good g31s id imagine id hold pretty stable.

HO alt + OEM size AGM + G31

You can sub (2) banks of caps for the G31 if you like.

That's a real solid setup.

3k rated or clamped? And what ohm load? 3k at 1 ohm could be sustained with a HO alt and single big battery under the hood.

HO alt (275 or more)...stock size AGM up front and 1 or 2 G31's in back...2 would give you more reserve and prolly keep voltages higher
