Default What is going on with my amp?

I got a new amp (crescendo s 1500.1)

Got the gain at half.

Wiring is all stock.

Battery to amp has 1/0 copper 2' into a distro, then 4g 6" to the amp. (the distro also has a 8awg 2' for my 4 channel)

130a alt, 650cca battery.

Stock unit with pdlc21/cache cloc'd (one to sub amp, one to crossover that goes to 4 channel)

Now here is the issue: if I turn the LC-1 up all the way with the head unit up to max (before clipping - 90% or so) the bass gets a lot quieter.

Does this amp not like higher RCA voltages? Is my LOC voltage set to high? If the head unit volume is down, I can max out the LC-1 no problem.

Voltage is always stable (this amp only pulls around 150a to put out 1800w @ 1 ohm so I doubt I'm straining my electrical - no dimming of lights or anything, sub doesn't get stinky, no audible distortion, etc)

Any thoughts?

What is the reason voltage? You can check it with a tone and a dmm

Get a o-scope and play tones to confirm the amplifier input signal is correct. My $ is on some active gain adjusting for the bass to save the factory speakers. My accord had something like this with it's factory sub.

I had 2 other amps on exact same setup without this issue.

Only swapped amps.

What setting in the dmm do I use? And what tones?

AC volts on the DMM and play frequencies the amp will be reproducing / normally seeing with your music.

Any chance this issue is the reason why this amp was sold? Do you know the seller or did this start happening after you got it?

Not trying to call anyone out or make accusations , but I got it on here. Dude has a lot of feedback. I Did open it up when I got it and the main rail was bent and a few other wires on the board were bent. I don't think the amp can take higher rca input though.it slasp without issue otherwise. I hadn't 5urned the lc1 up because it was so loud at first

I'm gonna see what the rca voltage is at though.

Def sounds like somethings being over driven, multi meter is a good start.

I cant get a reading with the dmm

Centech clamp meter and fluke t5-600

I put it on the rca before the amp right? I unplugged the rca's going into the sub amp and tried to get a reading off those. Nothing. Tried lc-1 at half and full.

Clamp meter won't help.
Regular DMM set to AC voltage - RCA center pin and shield.
