Default anything i should know when i upgrade to a 370 alt

im more concerned about not burning my car down is there anything important i should know when i upgrade to the new alt?

also i would like to know if theres a cheaper alt out there that will do 350+ besides dc (kinda expensive) 2003 pontiac aztek

as far as i know mechman and DC and ohio gen have the biggest ones...and make sure all connections are good and solid and ground the alt directly to the battery and of course big 4

Use a good belt. Cheap-o ones will slip on you. Make sure you've got a voltmeter to monitor voltage.

As for not burning things down just make sure you fuse appropriately.

Excessive amperage or Ohio generators... I'm pretty sure I'm going to be switching over to Ohio after talking to Tom this weekend. He knows his shit!!!

Check to see what they do at idle cause a 350 amp alt at 2k rpm and only 100 amp at idle will suck for daily.

I have zero problems with people having a shop or other enthusiast do their build. But it's a little disrespectful they take credit for it and/or don't correct people when they assume the owner did the work. Happens all the time.

Ohio alts has a $50,000 testing machine that comes with a real print out. No other company has that machine according to Tom. His alts do the best idle on the market

I don't know I got a print out from one of my cheap ebay alternators............seemed legit as well as the 2 275 I bought tested different.
Ohio is legit though would company been around for a while. The 275 I have does 300 or so hot pretty impressed
