Default what is to much power for a sub

I have a question about supplying power to the sub. if u have a 10,000 watt amp and the subs rms is rated at 2500 to 3000 how do u not blow the subs? if you have a ddi will this help?

U need to set it to have a clean signal.. Best way is get an oscope and make sure it's clean and you shouldn't have any problems

Not really a bargain bin question. Lol
I run gain at a lower setting than wfo, smaller than recommended box can help as well. But its mostly just not pushing it past its thermal limits. Thats a lot of heat on one coil. I had my 8k @.5 ohm on a single 2500w sub for a couple months w no issues.

so will the DD-1 do that for me or not? and when I set it how much power is being supplied to the subs if its over the rms?

my box size is 43x22x28 for 2 18's

The dd1 will help you ensure a clean signal yes. Power over rms will be determined by a lot of things. Its up to you to know when you are pushing them too hard

Is that internal and how much port?
Start easy and work your way up
Listen for things like mechanical noise from the sub, smell of the coils heating up to much and KNOW your music
if you have anything like bass I love you or c/sed set your ssf or turn it down for those songs until you know it won't bottom your subs

Also what subs?

port area is around 150 for this new box its 12c that's for the 2 18's
