Default Should i go sealed or not?

I just bought a 1988 monte carlo ss and im planning to put together a solid system. I wanted to go with two team 15's on two ampere 5k's but almost everyone i talked to about it locally said thats to much for the trunk and ill be better off going sealed. If i go sealed i want to go with 3 ampere 3.0 15's sealed with one of my ampere 5k's...what you guys think

Run one 15 ported before you run two or three sealed.

If you are goin for output why would sealed be an option?? It shouldn't even cross your mind. Run 2 12s or wall that bitch with 2 18s

Sealed is not an option at all. Throwing 10k worth of power to a sealed setup is laughable.

3 15 sealed will get loud and sound good imo try it if you have the subs already if you don't like it pull 2 subs put a new baffle on the box and a areo port on the side and Wang on

2 team 15's on 2 5k's is gonna rip any trunk apart haha.

the biggest benefit of going sealed is a more stable/flatter frequency response and better transient repose curve(what most relate to a cleaner/tighter bass). Thats not to say that acceptable levels of either aren't attainable ported.

Your 2 systems you're considering are drastically different. I feel like fitting 3 15's in a trunk would be pretty tough. you'd probably have to fire them up and your trunk lid would hate you for it.

Teams would surely be louder. I cant comment on how they'd sound as i've never heard one.

With something like that where the bass will be pretty trapped in the trunk maybe a 4th order with 2 15's ported through the rear deck? Not sure if you've got the room for it or how the rear deck is constructed but its an idea.
