Default what 12's that prefer larger enclosures??

Looking to upgrade from my 2 solo x 12s. Box is rather large 8.3 - 8.5 gross net is 7-7.8(will get exact measurements) tune to 35hz. Running 2 RF T2500BDCP amplifiers. What are your opinions?

How much can you sell those rockford amps for?

Saz5k is $1,500 new...single t2500 about the same, lol...you would have about $1k extra theoretically...

And 4.15-4.25 cubes each is 15" territory....might want to look at 15"s instead. Maybe 2 sundown 2.5k's

Could get a decent price for those solo x subs as well...even more towards budget.

Rockford is overpriced imo..

The x's can go, but I'm keeping the RF's... I got a few other sales pending that will yield more cash , to late box was built in the trunk not rebuilding that for awhile.

That's not calculating port.I'm going to measure box this weekend pretty sure it more like 3.5-3.9 net each after bracing and port.

Anyway you look at it you have a square hole and want round subs
You can either add a baffle to the front and cut 12" holes or cut the square holes to 15"
If you can I would cut the 15" holes
If not why not stick with the solo X's
A drop in change isn't going to blow your mind crazy louder. You may gain 1db maybe less

Either cut out 15" holes or stick with solo xs. You are not going to gain much. Doubt you will notice a difference.

Put ballasts in your box to shrink down the volume to what ever the subs you want to use required air space

Damn it! I knew I missed out on something in kindergarten lol!!... All jokes aside cutting out a baffle is much simpler then removing all my gear then demolishing the current box rebuilding ect... I've readed dc subs prefer smaller enclosure while other bigger then manufacture suggest..
