Default prv 6mr500 any good?

Considering 2 8 ohm bridged on a s800/4

Good or nah?

would be paired with 4 vifa 50 w 4 ohm all on one amp...

Would 200w be enough for each?

PRV Audio 6MR500-NDY 6-1/2" Neodymium Midrange Woofer 8 Ohm

I ordered one from parts express just to see how it would fit and how it sounds.

should be here in a few days.

would I be able to gauge how it would sound by bridging it at 8 ohms on my 800/4?

Hooked it up today

8 ohm, bridged on one channel. Crossed at about 250. No gain. Volume 33/35, ipod, usb, decaf.

shit gets loud and extends well into 4 digits. Should blend verrry nicely with tweeters.

you alllllmost don't need tweets with it. Almost.

same size as most pa mids so no issue with size.

I wonder how they will do on half gain...

let a local dude who I've been installing a lot for hear them. He loves em. Trying to talk him into 2 in each door in his low rider on a ppi 900.4, 2 at 4 ohms bridged each channel. Then get 80-100w vifa tweets or super tweets. He likes bullet tweets so meh.

Anyways, I kinda want to try the crescendo UN 6.5"s out of curiosity

I'm not sure if it's just the frequency range or what but they sound wayyyy better than the cheap pa mids. Guess $100 a pop will do that huh

I'm glad you like them, I know the beyma pro65nd sound great. I did wonder about the Prv speaker. Can I ask why you crossed it at 250hzjust wondering.

Those Prv cost $100each? Ouch, I'm a fan of Rockford Pro mids. They get hella loud for the price. I wish the 10s didn't cost so much because I would have those in my doors Insted of crescendo.
