Default looking for opinions 160+db capable front stage

Going to address the front stage now that I have the sub stage taken care of and was looking for people with first hand knowledge of some good front stage set ups that can keep up with 160+db sub stage. Might try my hand at fiber glassing and I have a decent amount of space to work with. Wanting to run active is all I know, budget would like to stay under $1000. Not sure on sizes, open to any suggestions!

Depends on your goals... my doors keep up and sound better than all the setups I've heard. But... they aren't "loud". The stormtrooper has like 10 10" PA's and hella tweeters, his mids are stupid loud! Not SQ but jeebus slice that bish is loud! I honestly will give up volume for a better SQ but your goals may be different. I glassed my doors for the first time ever n they came out nice. I'd gladly help with the lessons I learned doing mine if you wanted.

I want sq and loud but I'm not sure if that's possible, but I have also never heard a real sq set up. What is your set up right now? I have been watching some videos on youtube on how to fiberglass the doors but will gladly take any tips you have

Sorry no first hand but look into the prv 6mr500's

250w rms each.

I'll probly have some in a month or 2, will let u know how they sound.

of course that would be $800 for 4 in each door...lol.

some dude is selling 4 ohms for a lil less than new, I was gonna run 2 8 ohm bridged at 4 ohm with 200 to each.

I was actually looking at prv and they look good. As far as power goes I have a 4 channel doing 220 at 2 ohms and a 2 channel doing 200 at 2. Will be adding another 4 channel or 2 depending on how many speakers I go with

I don't think you're going to be able to do it with a $1000 budget. My front stage cost me about $2k and it wouldn't keep up with 160+. But "keeping up" is all a matter of opinion. To me, if the front stage doesn't easily outshine the substage, it's not keeping up

Also need to realize bass at that level will move a lot of air and distort the sound of mids/tweeters.

I've done several 60+ builds and front stage keeps up no problem in all of them. I do 2-3 mids per supertweeter and plenty of power. I prefer more mids/tweets so you don't have to push them as hard as they tend to sound better.

PA stuff will never be SQ but there's no reason it has to sound bad if tuned properly....

Last one I did was an '04 Burban with 4 8's per door and 4 10's in a center console. He tried a few diff PRV mids but ended up with Eminence....

I dont mind spending more if its worth it, just wasn't sure on what I wold need. At the pressure I'm gonna have is it even worth getting a dedicated mid bass driver? Or should I just get a bunch of mid range and a few tweeters?
