Default Powerbass 1200.2 kinda a let down :(

So I have my lanzar opti 250x4 rated at 325watts per channel at 2ohm... I figured having two pwx 10s on 325watts and going to 600watts from a powerbass 1200.2 would be a decent upgrade. It's like the same loudness.. Both amps are 8v input voltage capable and my HU is 5v... The gain on my opti is at like half gain if that... To get the powerbass to be at that loudness level the gain on the power bass has to be almost all the way up. I just figured I was going to get a nice gain in loudness and it's basically sounds the same.

http://youtu.be/UQRvmp5Mm5k

Here's a video I took of 4 Rockford 6.5s on 250watts each @ 4ohm sounding as loud as 4 pwx 10s on 300watts each @ 2ohm.

Now I'm in search of a Large two channel for my doors because this powerbass is goin up forsale.

Why Not 2 Taramp's DSP1600s? This is what they are designed for.. Loud Mids plus has clip limiter if you think it's too much power.

How would I set up the 1600 to power some mids? All the taramps amps I've seen don't have a BP filter?

It keeps up with my substage fine. I was just hoping for a nice gain in loudness by doubling my powers to the 10s in my doors.

The DSP series has very wide network.

The High pass filter goes from Off to 1KHz
The Low pass filter goes from 50Hz to 20KHz+

I wouldn't see any other network system beating that range.

The DSP is purely digital so there is no fine tuning with a DMM, it's all done on screen. The amplifier will let you know where it's crossed at.

Other amplifiers like the HD line can still Bandpass but of less capability.
HD amplifiers HPF usually maxes out around 50HZ and the LPF can be set very high as well on them.

After some time and really getting to listen to some music it is alittle louder with the power bass amp but it's just not what I thought it would be, I thought decently louder but it's only alittle.... The biggest thing I've notice is SQ.. The Lanzar opti is the cleanest sounding amp I've ever owned... This powerbass sounds almost muddy/warm is how I would describe it and the opti is clean/rich. Hopefully someone buys the powerbass local and I'm going to get another old school opti new off eBay.
