Default how low is too low

I have got some voltage drop going on waiting for my alternator. It is dropping to 11.6. Will this damage the amp if I run like this for a week or 2? It is a dc 10k I have 500ah battery bank. thanks

If you're wired to 1ohm or better I think you would be OK but if you are wired below 1ohm I would keep it 12v and higher, that's a expensive amp just turn the gain down until you get your alt

I would keep any amp above 12.6v at all times

depends on the amp... pretty sure dc10ks are made for power up high.

With an expensive amp like that I would hold off a bit especially if the alt is on its way

With my $99 vvme amp it saw 10v's at .5ohm all the time and would protect daily, but it kept on keeping on.

I wouldn't chance that with a DC 10k!

I don't let my 7k's dip anywhere close to that low

I would ease up on it in case something does fail between now and until you get your alt. But that's me, and you just never know.
