Open window. Put a big bead of windshield adhesive on the seal and close the window... Then on the inside of the window while its closed run another bead around the window... That's what I did with my Tahoe.. And I put a big glob right on the latch itself because the latch was about to break.

So does that mean your hatch window is sealed for good?

yes, you can peel it off later but it'll take a good amount of effort

Soon your latch will look like this^ depending on what type of window you have matters because my 2002 rear hatch glass the latch is one price connected to the window. So if the latch breaks you have to get a whole new window... Some other year tahoes you can just replace the latch.

I just put big glob of adhesive on the latch and no problems lol

I used the thick rubber gasket stuff(window a/c unit seal) from Lowes and stuck it onto the back glass so it would sit up against the factory seal. After I adjusted the latch a little 90% of the rattling was gone.

I lined the window with weather stripping sealer.

Did two layers of the thick then a smaller line in the middle of those.

Didn't make a sound after that.

Also, if you do this you can open close the hatch all you want because it expands when it opens then seals up when shut.

Screw not making noise... Your losing pressure out the glass... Seal that shlt up tight like my pictures. I gained like 1db sealed my hatch window and those vent caps in the back
