I currently have a dc power 320spxi that is on a dual bracket and is self regulated. it has the relay that dc provided so that it doesn't have issue with my 07 avalanche' pcm. So my question is, is there any way to up the charging voltage? I've heard that there is some trick with a diode and fuse you can do but don't know the specifics or if it really works. Any and all help is much appreciated.
Putting a diode on the alternator's "sense" wire will drop the forward voltage by about 0.7v. The regulator then thinks the car's voltage is too low and raises it. The fuse thing is just a special holder that uses a diode encased in a fuse form factor to make it easier to wire in. Google "ATC diode" or something like that for examples.
