Default looking for real world 6x8 reviews

I just bought a new mustang and need replacement speakers bad. I was looking at the JL c5 570s but I cant find them anywhere to listen to them. I have a set of pioneer tsd 6802rs that I won through work. the sound good but will make better rear fill than front stage.
Please let me know what you have come across and what you think of them.
thanks
-nick

Those are not bad at all with built in x overs glas cones and fabric tweets. I've heard the 6" comps and coax but not the 6x8. They sounded very good with hu eq dialed in.
If it were me I'd run them front and back. It's easier to tune with same models front and back. Pioneer speakers take a beating and sound good from my experience. There's nothing wrong with them at all and you already own them.
I always yank 6x8 5x7 speakers and make 6.5 wooden baffles adapters because there is way more 6.5 choices than 6x8 5x7.

Agree with social. If I were you I would fab up a custom spacer to fit either a 6.5 coax or a component 6.5 set. A little more work will need to be done but like social said there will be more options for drivers. Also the value seems better on popular sized speakers compared to more unique sizes. Good luck with the install man.
