Default Coil question....

There is a guy here in my town that says its fine to run 1 coil of a dual coil sub . Is this true? Example running 2 dual 2s and getting a 1 ohm load by only using 1 coil of each sub

It's "fine" the rms is in 1/2 or maybe even less
Just run both coils at 2 ohm total or .5 ohm if you can

Yes probably a little less than 1/2
Just run it at 2 ohm or .5 ohm if your amp can handle .5

Running only one side will also effect t/s parameters and require a new box of box is designed for factory parameters.
