Hey everyone! I currently own a 2005 Ford Taurus SE. Here is the equipment I currently have installated:
Amp: SoundQubed S1-850 MonoBlock
Headunit: Sony MEX-XB120BT
Subwoofer: Sundown Audio SA-8 V.3 D4, Ran at 2 OHMS, 625W
Speakers: 4x JBL 5x8 speakers
Now, I'm planning on purchasing a new vehicle. One with a nice digital touch screen display (because that is what majority of newer vehicles have). I really do not want to have to replace it. However I want to move my subwoofer and amp to my new vehicle (I will sell my speakers and headunit). What is the best way to take this approach? I know that if I somehow don't change the headunit its a waste of time. So what are my best options? I am willing to spend another $1000-$2000. I most likely will be getting new speakers as well, depending on the quality of the speakers in my new car.
I had some of my friends help me out:
One friend suggested the AudioControl DQ-61
, now the problem with this is I will have to reroute all of my speaker wire. Its probably worth it, but a lot of work/pricey to get done professional.
Another friend suggested that I get the AudioControl LC2i
if I'm just installing a mono block and subwoofer, and the AudioControl LC7i
If I plan on upgrading the speakers. Do you guys know if the LC7i will work with a monoblock and a 4 channel amp?
Any advice on what I should get is appreciated! I still have a lot to learn in the car audio scene
