Default what is the best size amp for 8's

i have looked everywhere online and i cant find the best size amp for a set of eight inch sundown audio 8 inch subs ported.

i have a 2013 WRX hatch back and a 1995 Z71 both of these have 2,000 watt amps which mean i need a extra battery, hell i built a pain in the butt small wedge box for the 8's to go in my single cab truck last summer but,

i havent even got to hear them cranked because i need a extra battery,i never drive the truck so im not going to buy another battery.

would a 1500 watt amp or something like this run these without the purchase of a battery ?

or do you know of any other amps that will work that might not be right at 1500.

i guess i can take these two 2,000 watt amps out and use them in my blazer project then since i know im going to need lots of power so its ok.

it would be nice to get the heavy stuff out of my hatch back and maybe go with a sealed box for some 8's or something im not sure yet.make it SQ.

The 1k was it one of the At series? They are Korean built, even if the subs can handle a lot more a Korean 1k should've sounded ok . Was the 1k at the correct ohms to get max power?

Unless you get real real shitty gear it all should sound pretty decent. It’s mostly get down to prepping and install. When dealing with 8’s obviously it’s not going to thump like the bigger set ups. I would add some deadener, in a hatch subs up port back, and you should be good with 1000-1200 clean power. Try to get all the gains calibrated right and the tuning correctly.

these 8' are in my truck a single cab ive had the truck 19 yrs i put a ton of deadener in it because i have a crate engine in it so its loud,my hatch back is a 2013 WRX it jams bad ass with anything you put in it,i could put one 6 inch sub and it would hit low,

i did the install like all mine, the box is perfect i put it in the back of my car and it hit lows good.i have a dc audio 2.0k as for the truck too,and now my blazer will have the dc audio 3.5k haha too many toys ? but thanks for the replies.i would say a 1200 -1500 depending on which amp then, hell maybe a decent 1000 but the bottom line is im just going to have to get a extra battery.oh well
later

Try synergy audio amplifier WFO 2.1. 90 plus efficient. Won't put any strain on your electrical. Do research. What amp dyno videos. Find very efficient amplifier that won't pull too much amperage. The amp dyno videos aren't that accurate on the power numbers because their starting voltage is 15 volts usually which in the real world you hardly ever see. But, it does give you a idea of how powerful the amp is and how efficient it is. Good luck
