Default Anyone habe any experience with these Alpine units?

New 9886, 9887 or CDA-117?

How well do these handle bass? Will they handle 150+ DB? How about sound quality? I'm looking to replace my old worn out 9883 with something nice and new...

I believe the alpine 9887 and pioneer 880 are the default go-to head units

iPod is the way to go. My 880 skips at 1/2 volume when doing a sweep. SQ HU's don't seem to have very good anti skip protection, probably because they're not intended to be in LOUD vehicles...
