Default 4 amps.. 2 subs. strapped or an amp for each coil?? I dont get it

Im deabting dropping the 2 AP3001D's and buying 4 Ap15001D's

I want to hook them upto my 2 AQ HDC3 18's which are D1's. SO Ive got 2 amps per sub

I really dont get how that would work, or how strapping/multi amp setups work.... and which way would be best..

Appreciate any insight hear guys

It would be alot less work and better for daily to use the two 3000s, or other wise you have to make sure the gains are set perfect for coils, and no clipping from one of the amps, just do the two!!

either way rnt the ap amps 2ohm stable
if you put a ap1500 on each 1ohm coil they wont like that
just put the coils in series for a 2ohm load, then set the 2 amps seperate as close as you can!

Why would you swap basicly the same amps for the same amps? The AP3000D is two AP1500D internally strapped.

Yeah it would be the same amount of power, but the two 3ks would be way more simple!!

The ap1500's are 1500 @ 1ohm, not 2 ohm like the 3k's as there no internally strapped, so the way I see it thats perfrect for my D1 subs correct??

I want to get 4 of the AP1500's because I can get 4 of them for $700 shipped, while 2 ap 3k's will be $900. I know there wont be a gain in going with 4 over 2, but I have plenty of space and 4 gauge wire so thats no big deal

I just need some help on how to wire them or how everything would work

Would it be best to strap them (I dont get how that works, if its even possible) or would it be best to plain and simple take each coils +/- and run it to each individual amp....

You're going to run 6000wrms with 4g wire?
