Default WIring Question

im running 2 batteries in the back of my car

i want to know if i need an inline fuse for both 1/0 lines coming from the front battery to the rear 2

or

do i need the inline fuse in between the amps and the batteries

no inline fuse between the front battery and the rear ones and inline fuses in between the rear batts and the amps

Yes, I'd fuse all of the positive wires minimum 2 feet from each bank of batteries. That way, if ANYTHING happens to the wires, you blow a fuse instead of a battery. you dont really need a fuse from the battery to amp, because if you have a fuse on the other side of the battery, that will pop if anything happens.

i have 2 yellowtops in the back of my truck and run straight 1/0 gauge to the rear 2 and have a fuse from the battery to the amp and havent had a problem with it in 3 yrs.

jeeze what kinda amp you got that needs 3 optimas?

ok that sounds good.

one more thing though.

should i run each amp off of 1 battery or both amps off with with a distributor
or does it even matter
