I've heard sub forward/port up is the loudest in trucks. Not sure if thats mainly single cabs or both. I've also heard subs foward/port to passenger side does well with numbers too.

A buddy of mine has an older Dakota, and I think he said subs forward, port to drivers side was loudest on the meter, but it was a burp only setup.

Keep in mind that if you're firing anything at the roof, you better have it well deadened...

Now when you Say "Port to Driver Side or Passenger Side" do you mean Firing at the Wall or Out the Door basically?

Or just the Port on that Side, Firing Forward as well.

The setup I'm talking about had aero ports pointed straight at the side of the truck cab. Like this:

SUB ------> side of truck

Where the ------> are several aero ports.

Yea ok, so Ports Firing at the Wall.

Ok, next Question for that Setup...How do you figure how much Room to give between the Wall and the Port so it has enough Room so that it doesn't Choke itself Up from being too Close?

what i was told is at least the same distance as the port size. so 6 inch port needs to be at least 6 inches off the wall. someone else should chime in and be able to verify this.

Want to give at least the same distance as the width of your port. For instance my port is 2" wide so I want at least 2" between port and wall. Now if you want to do a loading wall then you'll want 4-6" on top of that.

Here is mine:
