Default Cascade Designs Omega

The Omega woofer is the first offering from Cascade. It has been through months of design and is in the final stages of production. Seeing as this is now the home forum of C-D, I thought I should provide some better details about these woofers. The motor uses a classic triple stack setup with 1" thick slugs over 9" in diameter. The power is held in the 8 layer flatwound aluminum coil, using heavy gauge tinsel leads. A super stiff 8" spider supports the 12" and 15" cones while a 9.25" stiff spider pack supports the 18". The cone and dustcap are crafted out of raw carbon fiber for additional strength. Finishing off the cone is the high roll surround. Cooling is provided by basket cooling as well as direct VC cooling.
Aesthetically, the drivers will have a high gloss, dark purple metallic finish with a limited edition model featuring a thick lime green flake over jet black paint. These woofers are rated at 2000 RMS. Team Cascade has formed and will be putting up numbers as soon as the drivers arrive.

Feel free to ask any questions,
Alex.

These are designed for a daily setup, so I'd say very well. They do work well in smaller boxes as well. The 3k is famous for its like of small boxes both ported and sealed so I'm not sure if your best results would be found in a direct comparison test.

what type of box would be needed for this sub? i was just asking about my box cause i do plan on running my 3k for a while.

i dont have alot of space to work with,
my trunk is 23d 43w 14h max dimensions. that leaves me about 7cbs total airspace in my lil ass trunk
