Default RD 2200 Opinions?

My first choice is a DD M3 and then an AQ 2200, but I may have an opportunity to get an RD 2200. I know the D5's and D9's are awesome, but I don't know much about the 2200. Anybody used one or have any opinions about it?

RD Sucks, it will break and you will never get a refund or warranty.

Get the DD or AQ. You will be a lot happier in the long run.

Most of the 2200 prototypes out there roasted.

The ones that were on pre-sale were cancelled. All of the customers that had ordered the 2200v2's either got a 1750 or were put on the 3250v2 list.

Even though Steve took money for 2200v2's on pre-sale and then decided not to make them, he refused to give money back to anyone. I was forced onto the 3250v2 list. ****in' crook.

Don't touch it with a 20 foot stick.

RD is under new management now though, right? Maybe the new owner(s) aren't crooks.

Doesn't change the fact that RD is not making the 2200v2. I doubt the new owners even know about the 2200v2 pre-sale.

I need to call Joel up and make sure I'm actually on the list, though.

they dont seem to be "crooks" at all. although they arent willing to make ALL problems right with product issues, upgrades, etc.... so just as bad.

Yeah.....You should take up a low suit for that one man. The company is still around. So you can sue for paying and never recieving a product.

Steve was a complete crook. I hope he ends up dead in a ditch. But I'm reserving my judgement of the new RD until all is said and done.

Wow. Great info. And exactly what I needed to hear. fwiw, it's a 2200"D"? Is that even a model or does the guy mean "D" class architecture? I'm buying it used so i really don't have to deal with RD or Steve? directly. I was more interested in the build quality and/or whether it does rated, but if it's gonna break or get roasted then I am definitely not interested.
