Default Orion hcca225 help

I have a old orion hcca225 that pops fuses everytime I put a fuse in it. I have pulled the bottom and nothing looks burnt and nothing smells burnt. I am wondering if it is worth fixing, or if it is even a easy fix. Thanks for any help.

does it pop Immediatly after you supply power?
how about without the speaker hooked up?

Pops as soon as you hook power to it. With the speakers connected it still does it.

it could be a bad power-input diode. {yeah, they can go bad}

Otherwise you could have a bad output transistor or two.

[if you upsize the fuse, you will blow the powersupply to high hell because of the short circuit] so whatever you do, don't do that.

Yeah I did not want to upgrade the fuse just for that reason. I have had this amp for about 10 years and think I only used it for a few weeks. I jsut dug it out to find out it is doing this.

double check your power wires. but most likely, it's the diode.

Hmmm. I wonder if that is going to be a cheap easy fix.
