Default Train Horns.... I need a compressor.. and some helpful ingenuity...

I basically wanna do a bidget train horn setup. Ive gathered 2 huge pieces, The horns, and the tank. Ive got 2 horns 30 and 36" both use 1/4" compression fittings. And I also have a propane tank for the air storage.

I plan on hooking this up to a manual swing valve of sort so I can swing this sucker open n closed and talk witht he horn lol

BUT I need a compressor. What compressor would you suggest?? I dont plan on using this horn ALOT, but having some fun with it would be nice, want something reliable.

Can anyone help me out on what I need and the best way to go about hooking it up??
Appreciate it

Ill post all pics nessecary lol

any compressor will do. {the compressor is just to keep the tank at pressure}

pull-chain valve from a semi would do what you need and they are cheap.

ebay;
12V HD COMPRESSOR For Horn On-Board Air System. Ebay.

$80 to $150 compressors for air horn, eBay Motors. Great deals on eBay!

Well these 2 compe with alot of things, relay and pressure switch, which Im sure are needed....

But they have a 150psi and a 120psi, theres quie a price difference...

Are these pumps good at all??

150 PSI 12V Compressor Train Horn Air Ride Suspension : eBay Motors (item 230461155003 end time Apr-18-10 19:38:02 PDT)

120 PSI 12V Compressor Train Horn Air Ride Suspension : eBay Motors (item 230459267409 end time Apr-14-10 09:30:08 PDT)

I dont quite get the wiring though.. or exactly how I would plumb the propane tank... I took the old valve right off the propane tanik so now its just like a 1" threadeded hole in the top of it

if you have one at home and don't plan on using it very much. you can just put a quick connect fitting on it and just fill it up from time to time at home and don't have to worry about having a compressor in the car. if you do put on in there, i strongly suggest getting a pressure relife valve on there. i've seen twice were the compressor failed to stop doing some nasty damage to a car.

Ya I think I plan on using it more at one time than one fill would be good for no?? SO I think I would need a compressor. Like how many seconds could a propane tank seriously hold??

Cause I do already have a compressor at my house...

that really depends on how many CFM they use. you could always try i out first that way, and if you don't feel like you can keep enough pressure in there to get you a couple of burst then you can allways go to a compressor in your ride. i forget the members name, but there was a guy on CA.com that was huge into train horns. just search for K5LA horns and you'll see him. if my next ride is big enough i'm going to get a K5 or K3 on there.

Californians think their car horns are extensions of their mouths. {they use them a lot}

[I'm just sayin']
