Default Noise in woofer

Hey guys, I'm getting a weird noise in my subwoofer. It's not the amp, I thought it was my old amp, but this one is doing it too. If I turn on anything that uses power in the car(headlights, heater, signal lights) you can here a feedback noise in the woofer. I don't understand what it could be. I have my power running up one side of the car, and the RCA jacks are on the other side. I have the R.E.M wire running up with the power wire.
Yesterday when I had it turned up good and loud (gain on only 11 o'clock) I smelled something and the red light come on in the amp, overload protection. And the main 60 amp fuse blowed inline of the power wire. I don't want to blow this amp, paid good money for it.
Any ideas

its a JBL GTO1201.1II I bought from Andrew on this forum. I have 4 gauge wire ran to the back from the battery, to my 3 ph capacitor. The ground is directly to the body of the car from the capacitor, then the capacitor goes to the amp. The RCA jacks are really thick good jacks. I don't know the brand of them, came in a kit. How would it be a bad ground, you mean not grounded good or loose? It's been there ever since I had the first amp installed and it was ok before, I never moved it or anything. I done some work to my HVAC controls (blue l.e.d's for buttons) and my fan don't shut off when I put it to off, just goes to low speed, wonder if that has anything to do with it.
