Default Active with 2- 4 channels?

I want to redo my front stage, and I have 2 ppi pc4400.2 to work with as amps. I was wondering if I could bridge both amps and still go active. I was thinking of doing a set of selenium pro 8" mids, and a pair of the cresendo xst2 supertweeter. So would have 200 rms to work with on each driver. So can I do this?

actually I just saw that the seleniums and the tweeters were both single 8 ohm, so not sure how that would work also

Can you bridge the amps, and still go active? With that setup, yes.

Wire it up, and see how it sounds. PA gear should have a much higher sensitivity, which will help with the "lower" power. But you're running an amp bridged, which will give you more power per side...

ok, cool. I've tried active once, and failed. So I want to try again

how would I wire the drivers since they are single 8 ohm tho?
The amps do 50x4 @4 ohm, [email protected]@2 ohm, and [email protected] ohm bridged...

using my 880 for processing too btw

thanks

Yes you can still run active. Only suggest I have is something that would play a little lower then the Selenium (assuming you mean the 8W4P).

With PA drivers you don't need much power, most PA drivers will get insanely loud with little power. As little as 50-75rms on mids and 10-15rms on horns.

Each mid per channel on the first amp, bridged @ 8 ohms getting ~100rms. On the other amp you could run the tweeters off 2 of the 4 channels on the other amp getting ~25rms.

I see what you are saying. Just wondering how much it will effect my tuning by bridging some. I though you are suppose to put tweets on the front channels, and mids on the rear.

and yes I was referring to the 8w4p, or how bout these Parts-Express.com:Eminence Alpha-6A 6" Midrange 8 Ohm | alpha 6a midrange open back 6" midrange pa midrange

thanks for the time and infor sudownaudiony
