Default electrical question.

I got a cadence ia-9 that i got @ 2 ohms and its supposed to put out 1400 watts i think. I dont think im getting the full power out of it and i was wondering if i got enought voltage going to it. I got a stock alt with a stock batt and a batt that has 1000 cold cranking amps and 150 capicity i think. Am i getting enought voltage? If not what do i need to get to get the voltage. help plzz

go ahead and meter it. If you have a DMM put it on the battery when playing and see what your getting. If not, 1400 isnt a ton, maybe just a battery in the back would be fine. like there is a Batcap 2000 for sale here that would be great!

I don't know how into audio you are, but if so, a DMM, even a cheap one, is worth picking up. I'm not sure what else would check that.

I'm not sure, a voltage check would be nice. All the wires hooked up right? You might be getting all you can out of it, maybe you just want a bigger amp

Dry answer; 1400 watts takes 100 amps of current at 14 volts. {losses not accounted for}
if your alternator is good for 95 amps at 14.4 volts, you are still shy of the goal and you have nothin to run your car on. {headlights 40+amps, heater fan 25+ amps, other stuff 30+ amps, stereo itself 5+ amps = 100amps you need to run the car full bore}
do you have enough? nope. Will it survive? maybe.

all that doesn't account for the wires. {2 gauge or thicker will do}

Assuming you don't use the heater fan or the headlights and your amp make about 700watts rms, then with a 95 amp alternator you are good to go.
