Default speaker problem

So I decided to use some 8" mids I had laying around. I made some speaker rings cut up the door panels, and cut the door up a bit as well.. Put the mids in and they start sounding great. when I put the volume above 15 on the HU it starts to make a popping noise!!! I have a 100.4d and the mids are rated at 175 rms... I had my previous mids on this amp with no problems at all. I shot a small clip to give you an idea of how it sounds.. what can be wrong? are they blown? can they be fixe?
Thanks

BTW, the sound will come when in the song he say "hesitation"!!

speakers - Kicker ssmb8
amp- Sundown 100.4D
crossed (on the amp) to 50hz
gain- set at a tad bit under half

I changed some of the settings on the amp now
i crossed it more at like 60hz
lower the gains a bit
and now the popping noise went away..I can tell its not producing as much bass/midbass as before I changed the settings..
My question/issue is
I had 2 previous speakers on this amp with the same settings (ID oem's & Diamond audio D9's) and they both took it like a champ!! The ID's are rated at 100-150 ram and the D9's are rated at 200 rms.. the kickers are rated at 175 rms, and can be tuned as low as 30hz! why would it make that popping noise only getting 100 rms, gains a bit lower then 1/2, and tuned to 50hz!? did I fix the problem or just put a band aid on it?

I think they are popping because you have no upper crossover on them...
So its getting from 60-20k right now

All you did with that crossover setting is make it so they dont play below 60 hz, but it is now playing frequencies way above what you want it to play(stuff your tweeters should be playing)

You need to have a low pass crossover on whatever you have your tweets highpassed at(4k?)

Or use the subsonic at 30-40 and put the crossover on low pass at 4k
