Default need advice for my audio system.

so my setup that i got 2 weeks ago was a Pioneer Premier TS-W3002D4 12" with is one ohms stable and is a 1000 rms and 3500 rms peak and i got a 1.5 cf ported box which i read is best for for this sub. the amp that i have is a audio pipe 1000 which is powering my sub at 1000 rms at 1 ohms. i also have a really good head unit which is a JVC KW-XG700. the car i have small toyota celica hatchback. the problem i am having is that my system is not as loud as i expected. i mean the sub has decent bass and everything when sitting inside but its not like you can hear from half a mile or something. now i think i might have blown my stock speakers in my celica because the songs are getting distorted when i turn the volume up to 30. i was wondering what i should do. i mean i got the amp at 1000 watts when i was getting a audio pipe 1800 for the same price used because i was told you are gonna mess up your electrical if you dont upgrade the altenator and do the big 3. but what i dont get is most people pay for crappy systems like infinity and stuff like that and their amp is most of the time only 500-700rms. i am not sure how my system is not getting as loud. i checked the amp setting and the bass and everything is all the way up and some songs the bass is lot when sitting inside but out side you cant really hear it that much. i am not sure weather to upgrade the amp or something or mabe get new speakers?any advice would be really helpful guys.

My system is also like that, loud on the inside, and quiet on the outside.

It's really car dependent, I know people with shitty systems but you can hear them outside the car.

Plus a single 12" off 1krms isn't gonna shake up the whole block or anything. You said you got the box, where did you get it from, or did you make it/have it custom built?

from a fellow celica owner...

I don't get why you want your car to be loud outside of it Most people want their cars to be loud inside, not out...

first of all your prolly not getting the full 1k rms out of the amp due to impedence rise and other factors. electrical plays a big role in how the system performs. second with a car like that and only a single sub your not gonna shake the block. as long as you have the bump you like on the inside thats all that really matters. besides its fun to suprise people when they think your system isnt shit cuz they dont feel it from down the street, then you have them sit in for a demo and they go from "that aint shit" to "damn that pounds"

Curious how you manage a 1ohm load with a single TS-W3002D4, seems to me you have two options; 8ohm or 2ohm. Also, if it this audiopipe:

http://www.jcmusicworld.com/product_...ucts_id=180868

your at maybe 700 watts assuming 2ohm.

^ i am sorry but i must have mistaken it with a D2 version which is what i have and which is the 1 ohm version. Amazon.com: Pioneer TS-W3002D2 12 In. Champion Series PRO Subwoofer with 3500 Watts: Electronics. far as the amp at 1k, i bought audio pipe after getting advice and reading in formus that it puts out the full rms. i thought that getting 2 subs is not always better than getting one? since the power split?i wanted something loud which is why i got this setup.as far as the box, i got it from ebay for 60$ it was ported at 1.5cf and is reallly heavy.

also the bass in side is decent and is not really that impressive with the bass all the way up in the amp and the bass boost turned 3/4 of the way up. do you guys think i should get pioneer speakers now that my speakers might be blown?

Get a better box, more than likely that's just another prefab.

Gains ALL THE WAY UP and bass boost= bye bye sub

turn bass boost down and set your gains properly.

Why is it that michigan people run these pioneer 3002 subs my buddy had 4 of them sealed in 7 cuft off 2 pa4000ds It sounded good but was starving to be ported. I say custom build your own enclosure make it 2cuft tuned to 32hz. Get the full excursion out of the sub and it will get real loud. Also get yourself an audiopipe 1500 or 1800 and a small kenetik/xs power battery.
